Hailed by critics and audiences alike at this year's
Sundance Film Festival, LOST AND DELIRIOUS is a tragic
story of tortured romance at an all-girl's school.
Rebellious Paulie (Piper Perabo, COYOTE
UGLY) and impressionable Victoria (Jessica Pare, STARDOM)
are best friends who have a secret. In the privacy of
their shared room, they are exploring a sexual relationship.
All is well until new girl Mary (Mischa Barton, THE
SIXTH SENSE) arrives at the school and is assigned to
their living quarters. Early in the time of Mary's arrival,
she discovers the true nature of Paulie and Victoria's
bond but maintains their secret. However, when an unfortunate
accident reveals to the whole school that two friends
are lovers, Victoria cannot accept being branded as
a lesbian and recoils from Paulie.
Lea Pool (EMPORTE-MOI), one of Canada's
preeminent directors, has skillfully fashioned an artfully
poignant and explosive portrait of sexual awakening
and romantic tragedy rich in pathos and human compassion.
